Regulatory Disclosure

Under limited circumstances, ACG may disclose your personal information to third parties as permitted by, or to comply with, applicable laws and regulations. For example, we may disclose personal information in order to cooperate with regulatory authorities and law enforcement agencies to comply with subpoenas or other official requests and as necessary to protect our rights or property. Except as described in this privacy policy, we will not use your personal information for any other purpose, unless we describe how such information will be used at the time you disclose it to us or we obtain your permission.

Opt Out

You are not required to supply any of the personal information that we may request; however, failure to do so may result in being unable to open or maintain your account or to provide services to you. While we make every effort to ensure that all information we hold about you is accurate, complete and up to date, you can help us considerably by promptly notifying us if there are any changes to your personal information.

Summary

No private recognising data is collected about persons by the ACG website with the exception of those who provide such information explicitly and with their own consent or when provided by policies’ corporate owner when dealing with individuals who are corporate-owned policy insured. As defined within the Statement, none of this information regarding you will be proclaimed or displayed by ACG without obtaining your permission first, with exception existing in the case of law or being permitted.

What Information the ACG Website Collects

Two kinds of information are collected by the ACG website regarding the visitors of the site: (1) any information or data that has been provided by you with your consent, which will also include the data and information that you voluntarily offered with regard to your “Access your Account” sections present on the site and/or through asking for the optional contact request forms voluntarily; and (2) amassed information relevant to tracking that may include IP address and information about the home server.

Any functionality that may react to or honor the “does not track” signals on the Web browser or other such devices is not present on this website, and, therefore, shows no response or doesn’t honor such signals or mechanisms.

A collection of information that may be revealing about independent consumer’s online activities over time and across various websites when visited by the consumer is not possible by third parties as the website doesn’t permit it.

Log In Section

It is possible to access specific information regarding policy and account, make requests regarding limited service, and conduct limited transactions through the site’s “Log In” section. You may be requested to give information regarding yourself and/or your policy or account when you pay a visit to one of these “Access Your Account” sections. Upon your logging into the “Access Personal Insurance & Investments,” we may well track those pages that you viewed on the site and will improve our services for you by providing this knowledge to your ACG Financial Professional. With regard to corporate owned policies, request for information regarding the corporate owner of the policy or individuals insured under the corporate-owned policy may be made of you. Third parties take care of some of the areas of the “Access your Account” sections and they may also provide assistance with regard to some of the services and transactions carried out through these sections. Through a contract, all of these third parties are to keep any sort of information submitted by the visitors to this site’s sections confidential and to make use of this information only for providing requested amenities to or on ACG’s behalf and/or its subsidiaries and affiliates.

Financial Representative Contact Request Forms

You may be asked for the following information when you request to be contacted by a ACG Financial Representative:

Your name

Your street address

Your phone number

Your email address

Cookies

A cookie can be stored on your computer and is basically a small amount of information. It is possible for the site administrator to indirectly track your activities on the website through cookies as this file has a unique identification number that is then transferred onto your computer’s hard drive from the website. Your web browser is identified on our computer system when you pay our site a visit on the basis of this unique number. However, it is not possible for the website to know any private information that may identify you (such as your real name) using cookies if you haven’t presented it already. The use of cookies has become extensive and synonym with the industry standard. You can adjust most of the web browser preferences such that you will be alerted when a cookie is sent to your hard drive or you may simply reject it. While cookies are not an integral part of this website, some services may not function effectively when a cookie is rejected. Session cookies are used by this site to not only enhance the performance but for you to also have an experience that is more enjoyable and reliable when you enter the website. When you access the site, a session cookie, which is a small text file, is sent to and stored on a temporary basis in browser memory. Availability of the session cookie is only during the browser session period; sending and storage of the information on your computer’s hard drive do not take place. The session cookie will be invalidated if you close or log off the browser. A persistent cookie or small text file will be placed on the hard drive of your computer for a period of two years if you select the “Yes” radio button when asked, “Remember this computer for future logins?”. This will result in the site being allowed by the persistent cookie to bypass the security question by “remembering” the computer of the user.

Aggregated Tracking Information

Again, this information is only collected in aggregate form. No personal information is collected.

Assembling of cumulative information site-wide is undertaken in order to make it possible for us to bring continual improvement in the content offered to our users as well as for system’s administration purposes. An idea about the parts of our site visited by the users is obtained. Even though the user’s session will be tracked, the anonymity of the user will be maintained as our IP addresses are not linked to any private information that may be identified.

Commitment to Confidentiality

At NMIS, a top priority is given to confidentiality. The confidentiality relevant to all information received from our customers is maintained at the highest level, including the information that is received from the website, due to our commitment to our customers.

Changes and Revisions

Rights to any amendments to this statement from time to time are reserved by us. Changes regarding any material in our online privacy practices will be updated in the Online Privacy Statement. The date of this change in the Statement will be indicated.
